About the PowerUp Co-Ed Curriculum
PowerUp Co-Ed sessions teach youth the life skills shown by research to be crucial for mental, social, and behavioral health, safety, academic success, and overall positive development today.
Sessions are designed for flexible, easy use with minimal prep and supplies required. They support happiness, productive mindsets, substance use avoidance, safe social media management, and positive culture among students and between them and adults and youth belongingness.
PowerUp lessons are based on the science of learning to give youth practical tools for:
- self-esteem and confidence without entitlement
- social media and drama management
- coping with stress & managing emotions like anger and anxiety
- recognizing depression and anxiety & risk of self-harm
- empathy and assertiveness
- bullying defense and reduction
- personal and school safety
- healthy relationships, social skills, valuing diversity
- problem & conflict-solving
- healthy brain development, substance use prevention
- mindsets, habits, and brain food for success
- valuing adult support and how to find it, and
- all CASEL competencies
while building positive culture, confidence, connection, and open communication.
About Licensed Use
PowerUp Co-Ed for 5th-12th grade youth is divided into 5 topical sections of life skill lessons. Use requires purchasing a one year license on this site unless you are eligible for free use within Weld County, Colorado. For Weld County use, please email info@youthempowermentgroup.org if you have not received a sign-up link directly from Youth Empowerment Group.
Purchased Licenses
You may purchase a license to use our lessons from one or more specific curriculum sections, or use the entire curriculum as a discounted bundle. Click a section to see included lessons. Each license permits:
*One youth-serving professional (teacher, school counselor, youth organization staff member) and helpers to serve one set of students for one year, or
*One youth-serving organization (e.g., nonprofit, after-school program, mentor program, faith youth group, child advocacy or family support, sport league, or homeschool) to use lessons with one set of students for one year.

ABOUT TEACHING POWERUP
These lessons make your job caring for youth easier and supports positive youth outcomes!
Mental health, education, and medical experts designed video-based lessons (sessions) for schools, youth-serving organizations, and community groups to be comprehensive, easy, and flexible:
- Teach one youth to large student groups
- Do lessons (sessions) in any order
- 30 to 45-minute lessons with games and activities can be divided to fit time schedules
- Brief 1-2 minute topical video teaching segments can be used in classrooms and groups
- Lesson pages contain printable instructor guides, student handouts, game cards, and activity sheets
